I love using warm colors opposite cool colors and in this painting I wanted to use te warm dark browns, next to the cold indigo blues. That is how the sky came about. Â To let the reed take the light is was set up as a texture using my palet knifes. It always reminds me of those dark skies, while the landscape is illuminated by the sun.
