This is from my "By the lake" series. Using a zoom lens and show shutter speed, I capture images created by moving tree reflections on water. Surreal formations on a blue background that  is both sky and water, are artworks created by nature itself. Sky/water reflects trees, which connect earth and sky, thus expressing the interconnectedness of the natural world. These images are also a reflection of "the tree in me", that is my own connection to nature.Â

I mainly take close-up photographs of natural objects and my work is celebratory and joyful in nature. I like to show the fragile, tender aspects of the natural world through extremely close-up lenses that often reveal sights unseen with the naked eye. This often, but not always, renders my subjects abstract. I like to express the delight I feel in finding colour, shape and form in nature. My images are a visual representation of gratitude and wonder.
