Corpus Femina XV: Immersed in Transient Perfection

In the hushed serenity of Calmont Castle's bathroom, the creation of "Corpus Femina XV" commenced. The beauty of Fanny, the Hungarian model, lended an air of grace and eternal youth to this delicate scene. The ambiance was majestically punctuated with fragments of history, reminiscent of an old world gently dancing with the fronds of modernity.

For the setting, I drew inspiration from Edgar Degas's compelling artwork, "The Tub." While Degas portrayed his muse bathing in a basin, I chose to position my subject in a vintage bathroom. This intentional departure from the original scene's simplicity breathed new life into the concept, aligning it subtly with the understated elegance of my muse and her surroundings.

In "Corpus Femina XV", the juxtaposition of the perfectly youthful body against the backdrop of an antiquated bathroom makes a powerful statement. This keenly orchestrated contrast presents a dialogue on the temporal nature of physical beauty and the enduring allure of yesteryears.

To create a distinct textual effect that intensifies this dialogue, I resorted to an innovative digital technique—a double projection. One layer reflected the original image while the other unveiled a photograph of an intricately worked canvas. Together, they birthed a rich, multifaceted visual entity.

Notably, the layered structure crafted using digital projection is more than an aesthetic choice. It serves to emphasize the underlying theme—"the perfect lasting body" is but a fleeting reality. The textured effect almost echoes the patterns of time, hinting at the transience of youth and the inevitable progression toward age.
