Sumi-e All brush strokes have to be placed on the rice-paper in one single motion. Hence the importance to have the concept of the composition clearly in mind. There is little to no room for corrections, because the pigment of the black ink, mixed with water, is immediately absorbed by the rice-paper. For this reason, it is crucial to remain fully relaxed.

Bio

I am born in Barcelona, Spain. As a painter I started painting as a twelfe year old. I developed myself in oilpainting and aquarel. In Barcelona I held my first exposition in 1982 and a second in 1992. In 2012 i got acquainted with the Japanese zen painting techniqe Sumi-e . During ten years i took classes to learn the classic way of painting and in the last years I developed my own style. Since 2022 i am exhibiting my work.
