Bio

Linda is a passionate photographer who has a great eye for detail. As an all-round photographer Linda found that joy and beauty can be found in even the smallest of things. Somewhere along the line, a lot of people seem to have forgotten to just simply enjoy the little things. In a world where everything tends to feel rushed, she took the time to look for something that could bring joy to many and found it in the beauty of tulips. Hence The Art of Tulips was born.

With The Art of Tulips, Linda wants to challenge people to look at this beautiful flower and see it for what it really is…. A piece of art. Taking a minute to actually look and take in the beauty of something instead of just rushing by. Linda wants people to look beyond a first impression and see things in a different light. With The Art of Tulips, the latter is literally the case.

Linda is a photographer who ‘paints with light’. By meticulously playing with light, she is able to only show the parts of the tulip that she wants to appear in the final image. The black background is not artificial of Photoshopped, but part of the technique that Linda uses. No tricks, just photography in its purest form.

Sustainability is something that Linda highly values. She wants to capture the beauty of the tulip without disturbing or destroying the flowers. That is why she chose to photograph all of her artworks in the natural environment of the tulip.

Whether it’s an abstract form or natural form, her works evoke an emotion. Making someone look at least twice to figure out what it is that they’re looking at. Linda’s goal is to make people look at things differently and more important, making them see and enjoy what they’re seeing.

Influences

Nature is my main influence; it provides me with inspiration and fuels my creativity. The beauty of natural landscapes and the intricate details of flora and fauna just intrigue me.
