Aimee Schreurs was born in the city of Maastricht in 1979, and has been drawing her entire life. For her, drawing is synonymous with freedom, a way of unleashing her spirit onto the canvas. Throughout her numerous journeys, she has been profoundly inspired by diverse cultures and breathtaking landscapes, allowing them to seep into her artistry.
Having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht, Aimee has dedicated herself to the design and creation of intricate patterns and illustrations. Trusting her intuition, she has embarked on a heartfelt journey to express her emotions and innermost desires through her art. Her work encompasses both personal projects as well as commissioned pieces, and it extends beyond the confines of traditional mediums.
Influences
Aimee's exploration of shapes, beauty and diversity of the female form, capturing the curves, angles, and unique characteristics of this diversity indicates that she celebrates the human body as a subject of her art. Her many stay's in Ibiza while creating her famous murals in many beautiful Ibiza homes have clearly influenced Aimée in a profound way. Nature, culture, and the island's distinctive atmosphere, vibrant colors, and bohemian lifestyle helped her artistic expressions incorporate these elements into her artwork.
